Why do you take memberships?
Die Innenstadt is only as strong as its members. Members provide the life of the group.
How much is an annual membership?
Where does the money go?
The money will go to everything from smoke bombs, scarves, and flags, to web hosting and registering with the State of Ohio. None of the money will go to individuals in the group since we are all volunteers.
So, what does the membership get me?
Membership will get you an exclusive "Die Innenstadt" scarf each year. In addition to an instant immersion into a community made up of some of the most wonderful people in the city, membership will also give you an invite to member-only events, first-access to buses we charter to away games, and discounts at rhinehaus at away game watch parties. We send periodic newsletters with events and pertinent information, and you will be added to our Slack team. (Slack is a discussion forum where we talk about the team, announce tifo nights, coordinate road trips, and communicate in general with other members of Die Innenstadt.) As a member, you also have the opportunity to volunteer your services to the group as a writer, photographer, videographer, web developer (etc.) if you so desire.
Does membership get me into the games?
No. You must purchase a ticket separately through FC Cincinnati. If you want to sit with Die Innenstadt, the core of our members will be in general admission sections 131-135 called "The Bailey." You can find most of us in the center section, 133, but we're also in sections 134 and 135. Unfortunately, The Bailey is completely sold out for this upcoming 2017 season. While tickets in this section might pop up on the secondary market, there is a page on our members-only Slack team where people can buy or sell tickets from anywhere in the stadium for no more than "face value," including Bailey tickets at $10 each.
Is there an age restriction?
No, anyone can become a member... But some events will be restricted to 21+ based on local laws. There may be some inappropriate language, so the youngest fans may not be the best suited, but all are welcome!
